On March 15th & 22nd we will have our Member-Member tournament. It was “colded out” in December. Jo Burger and Sandy Miller will be the hosts for this event.
Our LGA committees are busy working on our Invitational Tournament, “Queens of the Bayou.” We have had a great response to our invitation. At the time of this writing there are only 6 spots left for a full field of 48 teams. We have teams from all over the local area. The tournament will be April 4th and 5th. On the 4th we offer a practice round, followed by the Skills Contest and a social in the evening. On Tuesday we will start with our famous RBCC LGA Breakfast, 9:00 shotgun start and finish up with awards luncheon and lots of prizes. We would like to thank our members who have donated $$ to sponsor a hole and given money to the tournament. We could not put on the first class caliber of tournament that we want to without the support our of members. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! We will honor our queen, Jo Burger at our social on Monday night. If you haven’t signed up, better do so today!!!!!
We just completed our Rally for the Cure/Memorial Tournament. The winners of the tournament were:

Ladies – Just wanted to thank everyone who participated in our Rally for the Cure. We collected $1,500! That will support both the Rally and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Great job Rocky Bayou CC!! Thanks go out to all who participated and contributed and to those who helped. I would like to especially thank Ann Wittkopp for doing a great job with registration for the Rally and the Memorial Tournament; Bonnie Weideman for putting together the Rally goodie bags and for the beautiful decorations; and to Judy Haugen for the moving Memorial service at our luncheon. Also, Bonney Hanson and her crew did a wonderful job with our luncheon.
Our Memorial collection at the luncheon netted $100 for the Taylor Haugen Foundation and $210 for the RBCC Scholarship Fund, given in memory of those members we’ve lost.
Once again, RBCC has shown support for a great cause. Now, don’t forget your self exams and mammograms!
Vicki Wilson
RBCC ladies are in second place after the great match in the awful cold and wind at Emerald Bay. Great job, ladies!
