Memorial Tournament Results

Here are the results of the Memorial Tournament (otherwise known as THE Deep Freeze!).  I believe a good time was had by all…after we had time to thaw out!  Thanks to all participants and congratulations to all winners.  I’m still counting our contributions to the Cure, but it looks like we collected over $1,100 for the Cause!  Thanks, Ladies! (and a few Gentlemen)  $180 was collected for the RBCC Scholarship Fund and $400 was collected for Crystal Taylor, our server who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer.  You all have generous hearts, give yourselves a pat on the back.

Ringers

February 2nd begins our second half of ringers for the year.  Judy Boykin has been busy getting 1st half results completed and ready to go again.  Reminder to all who are playing in the ringers, turn your score card in immediately following golf on Tuesday with your signatures, first and last name and date.  The ringer box is located in the ladies’ lounge or often on the sign in table where your weekly game cards are deposited.  You need two scores cards, one for ringers, and one for weekly game.

Thanks to Judy for such an efficient job with our ringers.

Member-Member 2009 Results

Below are the results of our Member-Member Tournament that was held December 15th.  We lost a few players to postponement and weather, but we managed to field a good group.  Congratulations to the winners and all the other participants for hanging in there through the threatening weather.  I believe in the end, a good time was had by all!  Thanks and appreciation are sent to Judy Haugen and her fabulous committee for a good tournament and the wonderful luncheon held last week.

The next 2 Tuesdays are listed as Casual Play.  The Weekly Play Committee is taking a 2 week vacation from organizing our game.  If you would like to play, please do.  The LGA still has the morning scheduled.  Be at the Clubhouse by 8:30, partner-up and have a fun day of golf and fellowship.  Regular play resumes on Tuesday, Jan. 5.  Our game will be Odd Holes Only – 1/2 handicap.

Have a great Christmas and New Years holiday and we’ll see you all next year!

Interclub at RBCC Nov 16

ChristmasCactusOn November 16th the LGA and Rocky Bayou Country Club hosted the Emerald Coast Interclub.  We had 90 plus women playing that day.

Our course was in great shape, which was noted by many of our guests.  We thank Wayne and company for all their efforts to keep it looking so great.

Beth Franz did a great job in organizing Interclub.  It is an enormous task.  We started the day by being greeted by our male golf friends who loaded bags and helped get gals to their carts, followed by our famous RBCC breakfast, thanks Sharon for organizing it.

Then we were off to a beautiful day of golf.  Our team came in third place for the day.

For all the men who gave up their Monday morning golf day for this event, we thank you; and, we wish to report that more than $3000 was made by RBCC for this event in the form of green fees, lunches, and beverages paid by our guests.  We hope that Andy made some $ in the pro shop as he held a special sale for the Interclub players that day.

Golf was followed by a lovely lunch prepared and served by Bon-ney and the Food & Beverage staff.

Thanks, again to all who made items for breakfast, played in the outing, helped with the scoring, and even cleaning up.
